• Guided Heritage Tour. A leisurely 2½-hour city bus tour with a lively and personal commentary from tour guides. The bus departs 10.00am Monday to Saturday (excluding Public Holidays) from the Visitor Information Centre

• Natural Wonders, Waterfalls and Gorges. Explore the Oxley Wild Rivers, Cathedral Rock and New England National Parks with an abundance of wildlife and breathtaking scenery. A wide range of walks are available to suit all ages and abilities.

• Spectacular Gorges and Waterfalls. Fly over the gorges and waterfalls with either Fleet Warbirds or Fleet Helicopters.

• Wineries and Breweries. Visit Welder’s Dog and Great Hops craft breweries in Armidale, as well as the local cider company and wineries specializing in cool-climate wines.

• New England Regional Art Museum. NERAM (open 10.00am-4.00pm Tuesday-Sunday) is home to over 3,500 works of art, including the Howard Hinton and Chandler Coventry Collections. In addition, NERAM showcases national exhibitions such as The Archibald Prize.

• Museums. The Armidale Folk Museum, Aboriginal Cultural Centre and Keeping Place, Railway Museum, Printing Museum, Natural History Museum and the Museum of Antiquities house excellent collections of historical interest.

• Saumarez Homestead. A National Trust property (gardens and farm buildings open 10.00am-4.00pm Wednesday, Friday and Sunday; Homestead tours: 2.30 and 3.00pm Sunday only – closed winter months), comprising an imposing house set in extensive English-style gardens and a complex of 12 farm buildings.

• Armidale Golf Club. Grab some friends, hire some clubs and play one of the most scenic regional golf courses in Australia.
