Events not to be missed include the Autumn Festival, Big Chill Festival, The Bach Festival, The New England Garden Festival, Armidale International Film Festival and Guyra Lamb and Potato Festival. Other great annual events include New England Sings, The Armidale Cup, Guyra Trout Festival, Armidale Youth Orchestra Garden Party, Vintage Truck, Machinery and Heavy Horse Show and the NEGS Equestrian events. The calendar is full with premier sport events including the TAS Rugby Carnivals, Tour de Rocks and the 12hr Mountain Bike Enduro.

NECOM kicks off the Armidale Autumn Festival with an outdoor celebration of live music and local talent! Enjoy performances from New England Brass Collective, JAZZ LAB!, Armidale Youth Winds, New England Singers, Armidale Youth Orchestra, and more. Great music, great food, and a great community atmosphere. In event of rain, the venue will be the Town Hall (127 Rusden Street).
The Armidale Autumn Festival is a showcase of Armidale's local talent and, of course, the magnificent autumnal colour. Local organisations will showcase their talent via a street parade, including pipe bands, school musicals, school bands, New England Conservatorium of Music, Aboriginal dancers, UNE colleges, Highland dancers and more.
