The exciting RBQ-Plus are at the Little Dog for another exciting night of music. Led by Bellingen saxophonist, Roger Burke, RBQ-Plus explores the Hard Bop and Post-Bop jazz of the 1950s-60s, music made famous by Miles Davis, Horace Silver, Art Blakey, Charles Mingus, Hank Mobley and others. The band features Roger Burke on sax, Ash Hall on trumpet, Andrew French-Northam on guitar, Bruce Stephen on double bass and Cary Bennett on drums and vocals.

An intimate concert spanning musical eras and styles, with works by Vivaldi (as arranged by J.S.Bach), Heitor Villa-Lobos, Béla Kovács, Agustín Barrios, and contemporary composer Bill Frisell. Stephen Tafra will be performing both in duet and as a soloist exclusively on his first instrument, piano accordion, with Steve Thorneycroft performing on guitar, and Sarah Lawrence performing original poetry written in partnership with the music. All proceeds will be donated to the 2027 New England Bach Festival.
