Words, Music, Time and Place @ McCrossins

Balancing respected traditions with carefully considered new work, the program will include a performance of Yma, a composition by Steve Thorneycroft. This piece thoughtfully sets music to the words of four local writers – Catherine Emerson, Steve Harris, Sarah Lawrence, and Katy Haselwood – highlighting the strength and continuity of our region’s creative voices. This unique program includes pieces by local composers and some baroque favourites, all tied within a carefully constructive narrative which connects music with our community.
