Pete Stanley @ Boobooks

Pete Stanley’s love of music began in Armidale at De La Salle College when he was a bugler in the College cadet marching band. After leaving school he headed to Sydney where he played guitar and sang in various professional club and pub bands for 13 years.
On settling back into Armidale, he quickly re-established ties with Aquarius and later formed The Beardy Brothers, playing guitar and singing lead/harmony parts for 17 years. Pete is now well-known for his perennial performances as a guitar/vocal solo act incorporating his original songs with all genres of popular M.O.R. music that he has learned and loved to play over five and a half decades.
Pete has received a staggering three State Government awards in recognition of his commitment to community welfare via music in Armidale and all over the Northern Tablelands. Pete’s latest contribution in 2021 For the Ages is Pete’s “finest bunch of songs to date” says Beechwood Studio engineer and producer Col Bale.
