Imagine the unique voice of internationally acclaimed First Nations recording artist Warren H. Williams, accompanied by the effortlessly brilliant and enigmatic Julie Croft on piano. Then add Croft’s bespoke arrangements for the 9-piece classical Western Winds Ensemble, and you have Out Of The Maze. This genre-melding Modern First Nations X Classical Music Experience touches the hearts of young and old alike. Named after Williams’ exploration through a ‘maze’ of different styles of music, to find a project that truly spoke to him.

Croft’s inimitable piano playing is the bedrock of these exquisite arrangements which weave solo woodwind, string melodies, and classical ensemble with Warren’s extraordinary storytelling and performance delivery to provide a deeply moving musical experience. The Western Winds Ensemble has been personally curated by Croft, comprising double bass, two violins, viola, cello, clarinet, oboe, French horn, and trumpet. This amazing array of artists has been specially formed drawing from the most talented musicians in the New England and mid-North Coast regions.
