NAIDOC Week – 50 Years Deadly

Sunday, 5 July – Kick Off – 9.00am-2.00pm @ Aboriginal Cultural Centre & Keeping Place: Come along to ACCKP’s flag raising ceremony and painr a banner for NAIDOC. There will also be a smoking ceremony and a barbeque lunch at the Community Garden.
Monday, 6 July – Flag Raising and Morning Tea – 11.00am-1.00pm @ Oorala Centre, University of New England: Join the Oorala Centre and a special guest speaker for 50 Years Deadly!
Tuesday, 7 July – Services Expo – 10.00am-2.00pm @ Aboriginal Cultural Centre & Keeping Place: Learn about all the fantastic services that support the community to grow and thrive. Music and lunch provided.
Wednesday, 8 July – Anaiwan Baby Ceremony – 9.00am-3.00pm @ Aboriginal Cultural Centre & Keeping Place: Come along to a traditional ceremony to welcome newborn babies onto Anaiwan Land.
Thursday, 9 July – Youth Disco and Dinner – 6.00-9.00pm @ Armidale Police Citizens Youth Club (PCYC), 176 Rusden Street: Put on your dancing shoes and best outfit for the NAIDOC Disco. Stay home mum and dad, this one is for kids only.
Friday, 10 July – Community and Family Day – 9.00am-2.00pm @ Curtis Park, Dumaresq Street: Starting with a march through the CBD, ending at Curtis Park, to enjoy festivities, musicians, dance performances and more.
Koori-oke – 9.00am-till late @ Royal Hotel: Make sure your voice is warmed up and ready to sing for Frida Night Koori-oke. Don’t be ashamed, get up on stage!
