Doretta Balkizas (violin) and Brieley Cutting (piano)

Doretta Balkizas is a renowned Australian violinist, recently returned from Germany where she worked as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician. She has performed, toured and recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra, Mahler Chamber Orchestra and Australian Chamber Orchestra. Doretta has performed as a soloist with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Melbourne Chamber Orchestra.

Multi-award winner Brieley Cutting is one of Australia’s leading collaborative pianists. Originally from the Northern Rivers of NSW, Brieley was a grand finalist of the ABC Young Performers Awards in 2006 and has performed with the Melbourne and Adelaide Symphony Orchestras. Currently a lecturer in Classical Piano at the Australian Institute of Music, Brieley also has an active solo and chamber music performance career.
