Music on a Market Sunday – Flutes & Birds

Birds and other animals in flute quartet concert in December Market Sunday Concert
The December Concert in the Music on a Market Sunday series will be on 12 December at 12:30pm in the Armidale Uniting Church and. features a flute quartet imitating birds, other animals and other music.
Sharon Davidge, Tomoko Maeda, Benjamin Thorn and Gerard Larkins will perform music by Benjamin Thorn, Peter Maddox and Ian Clarke. This will include a new work by Benjamin Thorn Wild Birds/Caged Birds, as well as an older one Elemental Dreams, Perter Maddox’ Suite for Flute Quartet and Clarke’s Zig Zag Zoo.
This is a great opportunity ton hear music by two local composers and some new repertoire that explores the expressive possibilities of the flute, spatial arrangements and other fun musical elements.
Admission to the concert is free, though donations are encouraged. CoVid safe social distancing and procedures will apply including double vaccination requirements.
