Guyra TroutFest

Guyra’s TroutFest celebrates the Trout Season opening in streams and dams of Guyra and the high country of New England. Held in the heart of Guyra and at the Mother of Ducks Lagoon, fishing activities include a children’s clinic on fishing essentials culminating in the excitement of catching a huge trout to take home. Kids can can go fishing in the tenth dam at the Golf Course. As well as the weekend-long Fishing Classic competition, there are plenty of other activities to do and things to see. Saturday is TroutFest’s Market Day with food, kid’s activities, and stalls of many kinds on the main street. The atmosphere is fun and lively with free live music all day. The retailers join in with decorated fishy-themed window displays and weekend deals. Music will feature strongly in 2025 with Buskers and Band contests and the BIG DAY TROUT on Sunday. Other events include the Art Show, Metal to Masterpiece amongst vintage cars. You can tour Costa’s huge tomato glass houses or do a tour of Deano’s Trout Farm. The program also includes Rotary’s Book Fair, plus comedy and poetry at the Australian Poet’s Hall of Fame on Friday night. Please see the website for the full program.
