Duval Dam Buster Trail Run

The Duval Dam Buster Trail Run (DDB) consists of five trail running events within the Mt Duval and Dumaresq Dam areas. The event is organised by the DDB committee consisting of passionate trail running locals and interested community members.  All committee members are volunteers. The event will be hosted by Armidale Athletics Club Inc.

Mt Duval is a large forested mountain on the New England Range, part of the Great Dividing Range, and is located in the New England region of NSW.  With an elevation of 1,400 metres above sea level, Mt Duval is one of the largest peaks in the area, dominating the Armidale skyline.

There will be five distances: a 3km family/kids fun run/walk, an 8km, a 16km, a 32km event and a 50km ultra-marathon.

Saturday, 19 September: 2:00pm – 5:00pm – Bib collection @ Great Hops Brewery, 33 Old Inverell Road.

Sunday, 20 September – Dumaresq Dam Recreation Area, Dumaresq Dam Road

6:00am – Bib collection starts (please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your event start time); 6:30am – 50km event starts; 7:00am – 28km event starts; 7:30am – 16km event starts; 8:00am – 8km event starts; 10:00am – 3km event starts. All competitors MUST have completed the course by 3:30pm.

Due to limited parking at the Dumaresq Dam Recreation Area, please try to share your travel with family and/or friends or catch our free shuttle bus. The DDB will provide free bus transport from the University of New England (UNE) carpark near Bellevue Oval on Meredith Street which on UNE premises, off Queen Elizabeth Drive/Handel St. Bus times will be published closer to the event.

Let’s look after our environment. The event organisers will not be providing any disposable cups at any of the drink/aid stations. Please bring your own bottle or drinking vessel and fill up from the containers provided. Water and Tailwind Nutrition drink will be available.
