No matter what time of year you visit, chances are there will be an event or festival in or around Armidale.

Events not to be missed include the Autumn Festival, Big Chill Festival, The Bach Festival, The New England Garden Festival, Armidale International Film Festival and Guyra Lamb and Potato Festival. Other great annual events include New England Sings, The Armidale Cup, Guyra Trout Festival, Armidale Youth Orchestra Garden Party, Vintage Truck, Machinery and Heavy Horse Show and the NEGS Equestrian events. The calendar is full with premier sport events including the TAS Rugby Carnivals, Tour de Rocks and the 12hr Mountain Bike Enduro.

A TAS Junior School production. Disney’s My Son Pinocchio Jr is based on the 2000 made-for-television movie Geppetto with original music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a few tunes from the 1940 Disney classic Pinocchio. In this twist on the traditional Pinocchio story, things don’t work out exactly as expected. Fiori Musicali presents Misa a Buenos Aires, the Tango Mass, by Argentinian composer and conductor, Martín Palmeri. Misa Tango is a choral mass using Tango sounds and the same movements as a mass in classical Latin, in which the harmonics and syncopated rhythms of tango are mixed. The performance includes Leanne Roobol as soloist, and an ensemble featuring James Chen, India Smith, Alma Kanety, Stephen Tafra, Arlene Fletcher and Robyn Bradley.
