SUMMARY:Women's Week Walk
DESCRIPTION:Discover the shared adventure of bushwalking this Women’s Week! \nJoin Armidale Bushwalking Club for the beautiful Threlfall Walking Track walk within Oxley Wild Rivers National Park. We will be traversing a diverse section of the park\, with some downward steps and undulating pathways. Natural-formed track with some fitness required. \nThrelfall Track follows the route of the historic 1894 hydro-electric scheme\, along old embankments and through ancient cuttings of granite. At Gara Gorge lookout high above Gara River\, with a backdrop of majestic blackbutt and spotted gums\, gaze across the rugged New England wilderness within the Oxley Wild Rivers National Park. \nWalk length: 5.5km; Walk duration: Up to 2 hours; Walk grade: Grade 3 (suitable for most ages and fitness levels. Some bushwalking experience recommended. Tracks may have short steep hill sections a rough surface and many steps). \nMeeting point: Register to receive details before the walk – waitlist only available at present \nIn celebration of NSW Women’s Week\, this event is open to all women aged 18 years and over.
