Homestead Series 1 – Emu Creek

NECOM’s Heritage Homestead Series offers a rare chance to immerse yourself in a magical combination of fine chamber music and local history. The series opens with an outdoor concert in the beautiful gardens of Emu Creek, just outside Walcha. The program will feature a vibrant selection of twentieth-century masterpieces.
Emu Creek was established in 1868 by George Robert Gill and over the years became renowned as one of New England’s leading Merino studs, winning several international awards for its super-fine wool. The present homestead and gardens were established in 1908 and remains in the family six generations later.
