Garden History Series: “A Day with Camellias”

This is the second Australian Garden History Society Northern NSW Branch speaker event featuring Wanderriby garden and guest expert speaker Dr Stephen Utick. Stephen is a renowned camellia expert and co-founder of Camellia Ark which aims to conserve Australia’s rarest Camellias.

Meet at Hoskins Centre (The Armidale School, enter via Chapel Street) to travel by bus to Wollomombi and the magnificent garden of Wanderriby with stunning trees, perennials and flowering shrubs including over 200 camellias with blooms of splendid size and colour. A light lunch with tea and coffee is included.

Return to Hoskins Centre by 3.00pm for Stephen’s presentation on Camellia Ark Australia and the significance of camellias to garden history.

Please Note: Wanderriby garden is accessible by bus only as part of the full-day package. Cars arriving separately will not be able to enter.
